Taylor Dayne is a vocalist who took the 80’s dance floor hostage with her freestyle hits “Tell It To My Heart” and “Prove Your Love” from 1987. The tracks produced by Ric Wake were the pop-dance sensation with a blend of hard street beats and Miami freestyle along with Taylor’s powerful vocals. An appropriate close of the 80’s with the power and pop presences which brought dance music another crown for its long run. “Tell It To My Heart” remains a classic among the 80’s dance scene and still gives way to a nice stage for Ms. Dayne’s unforgiving vocals. One of her early recordings as Les Lee was a track titled “I’m The One You Want” from 1985 gave Taylor the attention she needed to become the pop icon that followed.

I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and accapella of “Tell It To My Heart:” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix to mark this period of stompin’ dance music. It plays out with more breaks and some effects to light those feet back on fire.
